Inchindown Military Oil Tanks

The approach to Inchindown – Keith and I made our ascent in our 4×4 and eventually arrived at Tunnel one of the Inchindown Oil Storage Facility.  We had loaded the Intrepid 4×5 with Ilford HP5 sheet film, and intended to push it to 1600 ISO due to the low-light conditions and also owing to our love of contrast and grain for the type of shot we had in mind.

This video shows our trip up.

We walked further inside the first relentless tunnel and something caught our attention.  We thought it best not to continue until we had read the wall-writing – BEWARE.

We pushed on through the tunnel and started to set up our shot inside one of the Winch Rooms.
